* Welcome *
You may be feeling lost and seeking the chance to explore yourself and your identities. You may be searching for a chance to feel valued and empowered, while having someone to guide you through the process. You may want to work through your fears and anxieties, or you want to improve your communication skills. You deserve to have the support you need in all of these processes, and I would like to provide you with that support.
* My Focus *
I specialize in working with anxiety, trauma, LGBTQ+ identities and exploration, and neurodivergent identities and exploration. I am passionate about supporting fellow queer and neurodivergent folks, and I am also passionate about being a kink and polyamorous-positive therapist. I enjoy helping clients evaluate and process trauma, learn new coping skills, connect more with their emotions, and improve their communication skills.
* My Approach *
My therapeutic approach is grounded in motivational interviewing, as well as in my experience working with cognitive-behavioral therapy. I also utilize attachment theory and trauma-informed therapy for clients who may need to explore these areas. In our time working together, we will learn about your past and how it may continue to affect you today, figure out your goals, and work towards those goals together by processing your past and building new skills. As a therapist, I have an open, accepting, non-judgmental approach to all my clients, and I aim to be a safe space to explore your needs and goals.
* My Philosophy on Therapy *
My therapy is founded in queer theory, intersectionality, and decolonization. As a social worker, I am also committed to learning about social justice, advocacy, and injustice that occurs in the world, and I do my best to advocate for change on individual and large scale levels. I look to leaders and literature in a variety of social justice movements in order to inform my own philosophy, and I aim to continually be learning and improving. These are topics that we can safely discuss in therapy, and our time together can be a space for you to form your own identity and narrative separate from what society may say you are.
