Practical Audacity provides gender & sex therapy, coaching, education & consulting from a strengths-based perspective and always with intention, a focus on practical change and queer innovation, and curiosity.
We seek to expand possibility, heal, and grow in a queer-aligned, trauma-informed environment.
We are here to cultivate a community of clients, staff, professionals, and humans who see you. All of you.
We are dedicated to helping our clients live with less suffering and more ease while feeling loved and accepted for who they are.
We are committed to doing our part to create the world we want to live in.

Pleasure is Resistance: We view pleasure as an essential part of creating the world we wish to live in and developing our best, most turned-on and connected selves. Through connecting to our own and others’ bodies in safe and consensual ways, we foster community, healing, & creative energy. Pleasure is an act of resistance in a world that seeks to separate us from our own bodies and isolate us from others.
Possibility & Resiliency: Imagine More - We celebrate the galaxy of gender, sexual, and cultural identities. Our culture is one of shameless audacity- challenging norms, boxes, limiting beliefs, and patterns that don’t serve us. We continually work to address bias within our organization to support the leadership and healthy futures of all people, with a focus on supporting gender and sexually diverse folks, BIPOC and other non-white people of color, and anyone who believes that #BlackLivesMatter and feminism is intersectional. We do resiliency together. We own that anti-racist work is work and we are committed to doing it. See some ways we are taking action here.
Liberation Through Play: We believe in co-creating a space for levity, fun, pleasure, laughter, and curiosity. We believe that growth and change can happen from a place of strength and ease instead of suffering. We embody this value through a strengths-based model of collaboration with our clients, community building, and queer innovation. We embrace a one-tiny-step-at-a-time, bias-to-action approach by reframing and affirming diverse experiences of identity, transitions, and healing from trauma to develop positive personal narratives based in self-discovery and growth.
We foster a culture of no-idea-too-big, why-not, make-it-happen thinking that challenges limiting beliefs and patterns that don’t serve us.
-
We understand that simply existing in a world that is unwelcoming of who you are is an act of resistance and courage and that all the yoga in the world won’t solve systemic injustice and oppression.
You have to figure out how to live a life that feels good for you despite this and sometimes that feels impossible.
We are here to give you space to breathe.
We believe that pleasure is powerful and we are committed to helping you experience more of it. Audre Lorde said in The Uses of the Erotic, "Recognizing the power of the erotic within our lives can give us the energy to pursue genuine change within our world, rather than merely settling for a shift of characters in the same weary drama.”
We believe that pleasure is an act of resistance.
We are here to provide practical (and scientifically accurate!) info, tools, and resources to help you venture beyond the commonplace, the familiar, and the obvious and help expand your world to new, infinite possibilities for pleasure, authenticity, audacity, and connection.
We want to live in a world where you feel loved, accepted, and truly seen when you bring all of yourself (even the messy parts) to the table and we are committed to providing top-notch education to professionals in mental health, physical health, and business to help create the world we want to live in.
We are here to create a community of people and professionals who see you. All of you.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Certified Sex Therapist (CST) and the Founder of Practical Audacity.
As a Gender & Certified Sex Therapist, I work with folks feeling anxious and lost about a transition they're experiencing in sex, gender, sexual identity, or relationships. I help folks uncover more of who they are so they feel confident in their own skin, providing the support they need to go from feeling broken and alone to whole and part of a community.
My specializations include gender therapy for transgender/non-binary/questioning individuals, sex therapy, the LGBTQ population, trauma, sexual pain, PTSD, and kink/poly-affirming care. My clinical style is warm and collaborative, helping you locate and build upon the strengths you already have in your life in order to create change while challenging behaviors and thoughts that aren't working.
I received my Masters in Counseling from DePaul University and completed my clinical internship with Heartland Alliance International-FACES, working primarily with Iraqi, Burmese, and Nepali refugees and torture survivors. I am a Certified Sex Therapist through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors. and Therapists.
